A Historic Visit From Her Majesty the Queen Ahead of the Official Opening of the Elizabeth line

We were honoured to be among those welcoming Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex, today on their visit to Paddington’s Elizabeth line station.

They were joined by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Transport for London’s Commissioner Andy Byford, the Transport Secretary the Right Hon. Grant Shapps, and Crossrail’s Chief Executive Mark Wild. 

During her visit, Her Majesty met with a selection of employees who have played key roles in the Crossrail project and several MTR Elizabeth line colleagues including apprentices, drivers, and Customer Experience colleagues. 

Today’s historic visit marks a significant milestone in the countdown to opening London’s transformational Elizabeth line to passengers on Tuesday 24 May.
